• an imperative requirement or need for something: the necessity for a faster way to play golf
• the state or fact of being necessary or inevitable:  the necessity to stir more interest in golf in younger generations

Patti and Tim Vale had no plans of entering the Golf Business.  It is, after all, a tough business to be in with high costs, low profits and an ever shrinking customer base.  Golf is a great game, but not always a great business.

Patti and Tim grew tired after years of watching the leaders of the game take baby steps and make immeasurable progress to modernize the game and try to make it fit into their modern lives.  Golf had some very solvable problems that weren't being solved.

As an engineer who helped pioneer the field of robotic surgery, Tim knows first-hand just how powerful the synergy can be when just the right amount of technology combines with something time proven.  Benefits are countless, barriers and limitations are broken down, and the complex and time consuming become seamless and efficient.  Much the way robotic surgery saves lives, Nexus Golf is going to save (and sustain) the game we love.

So in late 2019, Nexus Golf was born.  Patti and Tim wrote the playbook on not just a new way to play the game, but a new way to operate a golf course and a new way to interact with the golfing public.  Golf will become easier and faster to play, golf courses will become more fun, more inclusive, and more profitable. People who gave up on the game years ago will come back.  And kids who were avoiding the game will fuel its growth.
